How to Use your Smartphone as a Speaker (Wireless and USB)?

You can turn your smartphone into a speaker, so it plays music like a big radio or headphones, just by connecting it to another device.

Imagine your smartphone is like a magic wand that sends music through the air. If you have a tablet, computer, or even another phone, and both know how to speak “wireless,” they can talk to each other without touching.

All you need to do is tap a button on one device, usually it looks like a speaker icon, and poof, the music plays out of the other device. It’s like when you share your snacks with a friend, but instead of cookies, it's songs!

Now imagine you're using a string, like the one that connects your toys together. If your phone has a USB port, or a special place on the side where you plug in a cable, you can connect it to another device, maybe a tablet, a computer, or even a speaker.
