How to Use a Victorian Oil Lamp?

A Victorian oil lamp is like a cozy little friend that lights up your room when it gets dark, just like your nightlight, but bigger and brighter.

Oil lamps use oil instead of batteries or electricity. You pour in some oil, usually from a bottle, into the lamp, which has a special cup to hold the oil.

Then you light a wick, which is like a little straw that goes down into the oil. When you light it with a match, the wick gets hot and starts burning, just like when you light a candle!
