How Voting Works
Think of voting like a class vote for the best book to read together. Each kid gets to put their name on a paper with their favorite book. The book with the most names wins! That’s how grown-ups choose leaders too, they all get to pick, just like you and your friends.
Why Voting Matters
When everyone votes, it means everyone’s opinion counts. It's like when you and your brother both want different flavors of ice cream, if you both vote, the flavor with more votes gets picked. That’s fair! And if no one votes, sometimes people pick something that no one really likes. So voting helps make sure we all get what we want, or at least a chance to try it! Voting is like choosing your favorite ice cream flavor, but for grown-ups and kids too!
Imagine you and your friends are picking a game to play at recess. If everyone gets to say what they want, it’s fair, right? That's voting, when people pick something by saying what they like best.
