How It Starts
What Happens Next
The new "it" chases the other players, just like how you chase your friend when you're playing hide-and-seek. Everyone else tries to run away, hiding behind trees or jumping over puddles, anything that helps them stay safe from being tagged.
If someone gets tagged, they switch places with the person who was "it." It’s like swapping roles in a game of pretend. You might be chasing your friend one moment and running from them the next!
Everyone plays together, laughing and running until someone feels tired, then they can sit out for a while and watch the fun continue!
Examples
- A group of kids in a park plays tag by running around and trying to catch each other.
- Two friends play tag during recess at school.
- A family plays tag in the backyard on a sunny afternoon.
