How to Look at an Artwork?

Looking at an artwork is like going on a fun treasure hunt with your eyes!

Imagine you’re standing in front of a painting, it's like looking into a window that shows a whole new world. You don’t need to know everything about it right away; just start by noticing what catches your eye.

What do you see?

Look closely at the colors, shapes, and details. Are there big, bold lines or tiny little dots? Maybe there are people or animals doing something funny, like dancing or playing hide-and-seek! Try to find parts that look familiar, like a smiley face or a tree from your backyard.

What do you feel?

Now close your eyes and imagine how the artwork makes you feel. Does it make you laugh, think, or even want to jump up and down? Just like how your favorite snack can make your tummy happy, an artwork can make your brain feel full of ideas!

You don’t need to be a superhero to look at art, just be curious and have fun!
