Turning Numbers into a Story
Think of your phone number as a string of numbers, maybe it looks like 123-456-7890. That’s a lot to remember all at once, right? But if you break it down, it becomes easier! You can think of the first part (like 123) as your favorite toy, and the next part (like 456) as your favorite game. The last part (7890) could be something fun like your favorite ice cream flavor or a silly dance you do when you're happy.
Practicing with Play
Just like how you practice jumping rope or singing your ABCs, you can practice saying your phone number out loud every day. You can say it while you're eating breakfast, brushing your teeth, or even during your nap! The more you say it, the easier it will become, just like learning to ride a bike!
You’ll be a phone number expert in no time!
Examples
- A parent says the number in a silly voice, and the child laughs and repeats it.
- A kid uses colored blocks to represent each digit of their phone number.
