You can be part of any group conversation just by being friendly and showing you want to join in.
Imagine you're playing on a swing set at the park. There are other kids swinging, laughing, and talking. You don’t have to say something super cool or smart, you just need to smile, wave, and say “Hi!” Then you can sit down next to them and start swinging too. Soon, they’ll talk to you, and you'll be part of the fun.
Like being a toy in a game
Sometimes, kids are playing with blocks or drawing pictures. If you walk over and say “Can I play too?”, even if you don’t know what’s going on, they might just nod and make space for you. You can watch them for a bit, then join in when you feel ready.
You don’t need to be the loudest person or the fastest runner, just being there and showing you want to be friends is enough. And once you're part of the group, it’s easier to talk and laugh together, like everyone else.
