How the heart actually pumps blood - Edmond Hui?

The heart is like a super strong pump that pushes blood all around your body.

Imagine you have a big water balloon and you squeeze it, poof! Water comes out. That’s kind of what the heart does, but with blood instead of water.

How It Works

Inside your chest, your heart has four rooms: two on top (called atria) and two on the bottom (called ventricles). When your heart beats, it squeezes those rooms to push blood out.

First, your heart gets blood from your body. Then it sends that blood to your lungs so you can breathe. After a little rest in the lungs, the blood comes back, whoosh! The heart gives it one more squeeze and sends it all the way to your brain, legs, and feet.

It’s like having two water balloons inside another bigger balloon. When you squeeze them, water flows everywhere, just like how your heart pumps blood so you can run, jump, and laugh!
