Writing short stories is like building a tiny, fun house with just a few blocks, you get to make something cool and easy to understand.
Short stories are little tales that have a beginning, middle, and end, just like when you play with your toys for a while and then put them all away.
How I Start My Stories
I pick a character, like you or your best friend. Then I think of something interesting happening to them, like finding a lost puppy or getting stuck in the rain without an umbrella. That’s my story idea, it's what makes me want to write!
Making It Fun and Easy
I use simple words, like "run," "jump," or "laugh." I also add a little bit of excitement, just like when you race your brother down the hallway.
Sometimes, I end my story with a happy moment, like getting the puppy back home or finding an umbrella in the rain. That makes it feel complete and fun to read!
So, if you want to write stories too, start with something you know and love, and let your imagination run wild!
