How does your wealth compare to others?

Imagine you and your friends are all trying to build the tallest tower with blocks, wealth is like how many blocks each person has.

If you have 10 blocks and your friend has 20, they can make a taller tower than you. That means they have more wealth than you do. But if you both get 5 more blocks, now you're even!

Sometimes people have way more blocks, like hundreds or even thousands. Those people are really rich compared to others who might only have a few.

Blocks and Bikes

Think of it like bikes in the playground. If your friend has a shiny new bike with training wheels, and you’re still riding a tricycle, they might feel like they have more wealth than you, even if both of you are just having fun.

But if you both get bikes next year, then you’ll be equal again!

So comparing wealth is like seeing who has the most blocks or the coolest bike, it's about how much each person has compared to others.
