Wind is like a big invisible fan in the sky. When the sun warms up the air near the ground, that warm air becomes lighter and rises up. The cooler air nearby moves in to replace it, and that’s how wind starts. It’s just air moving from where it's hot to where it's cold, over and over again, like a never-ending game of tag.
Examples
- Imagine blowing on a pinwheel, the air moves, making it spin.
- Watch leaves twirl in the air when a breeze hits them.
