How Does The Structure of the 13 Moon Calendar Work?

The 13 Moon Calendar is like having 13 special friends who each get to be your favorite for a whole month.

Imagine you have a bag with 13 marbles, and every day you take one out. When you finish all the marbles in the bag, that’s a full month, just like how we count days on our hands! But here's the fun part: instead of 12 months like most calendars, this one has 13 months, each with exactly 28 days.

How It Works

Each month is like a new game. You start with the first marble (Day 1), and you keep going until you’ve used all 28 marbles in that month’s bag. After that, you switch to the next friend, or the next month!

Because each month has the same number of days, it's easier to remember and plan things, like when your birthday is or when your favorite holiday happens.

At the end of the year, you’ve used all 13 friends, and there’s even a special day called the 27th Day, which is like a little extra treat everyone gets to enjoy together.
