Dreams Are Like Stories You Forget
When you sleep, your brain tells a story, that’s your dream. But when you wake up, it's like finishing a book and not remembering what happened until the very end. Your brain is busy going from sleeping to being awake, so it doesn't have time to write down the whole story.
The Brain Is Like A Busy Kid
Your brain is like a kid who’s playing with blocks when they suddenly have to clean up, they’re too busy to remember all the details of what they were building. That's why you might remember parts of your dream, like seeing a giant elephant or flying, but not the whole thing.
Sometimes, if you wake up slowly, your brain has more time to say, “Oh, I was dreaming about that!”, and then you can remember more.
So dreams are real stories, but your brain is just too busy to keep them all in mind.
