How Does The Problem With Hyper-Individualism Work?

Hyper-individualism is when everyone tries to be the best at their own thing, but forgets that working together makes life easier for everyone.

Imagine you and your friends are playing a game of tag in the park. If each person wants to run the fastest, they all take off running by themselves, no one helps or follows anyone else. Soon, it’s hard to find anyone to catch, and nobody has fun because the game gets boring. That’s like hyper-individualism, everyone is focused on being the best at their own thing, but not helping each other.

What happens when people don’t work together?

Think of a group of kids building a sandcastle. If one kid wants to make the tallest tower, and another wants the biggest moat, they might not talk or share the tools. The castle ends up lopsided because no one is working as a team. That’s what happens in hyper-individualism, people are so busy being the best at their own jobs that they don’t help each other, which makes things harder for everyone.

But if you all agree on a plan and take turns helping, the sandcastle becomes amazing, just like how working together can make life better for everyone.
