How Does The Different Levels of Anxiety Work?

Anxiety is like having different levels of worry that you feel inside your body, depending on how big or small the problem seems.

Imagine you have a bag of marbles, each marble is a little worry. When you're calm, the bag is empty. But when something worries you, you start putting marbles in the bag.

Level 1: Small Worry

This is like finding your favorite toy is missing. You put one or two marbles in the bag. You feel a little worried, but it doesn’t stop you from playing.

Level 2: Medium Worry

Now imagine your toy is gone and your friend is also missing. You add more marbles, maybe five or six. Your heart beats faster, and you might start looking for your friend too.

Level 3: Big Worry

This is like your whole room being upside down! You put a bunch of marbles in the bag, maybe all of them. You feel really worried, your tummy might hurt, and it's hard to think clearly. You want everything back to normal!

The more marbles (worries) you have, the bigger the anxiety feels inside you.
