The Tables Are Different
The pool table is smaller, like the size of a big blanket. It has six pockets, one at each corner and one in the middle of each side. The balls are also smaller and lighter, so they move faster when you hit them with your cue stick.
The billiards table is bigger, more like the size of a large rug. It only has four pockets, one at each corner. The balls here are bigger and heavier, so they don’t go flying as fast when you hit them.
The Rules Are Like Different Playground Games
In pool, players take turns hitting balls into pockets, trying to get all their balls in first. It's like a race to see who can put their toys away fastest.
In billiards, the game is more about strategy, it’s like playing a game of tag where you have to plan your moves carefully so you can catch the other player.
So pool and billiards are both fun, but they’re different games with different tables, different balls, and different rules, just like how soccer and basketball are both sports, but you play them differently.
