Now imagine that same friend also has the power to make everyone around them feel happy when they talk. That second ability, making people feel happy, is like a spiritual gift, because it helps others in a way that's not always about being the best at something.
Like a Toy Box and a Superpower
Think of a talent as your favorite toy, you play with it all the time, and it makes you really good at something. A spiritual gift is more like having a superpower that lets you help other people in special ways, even if they don't have the same toys.
So, someone might be great at math (that's their talent) and also be really good at calming down friends who are upset, that second part is their spiritual gift. Both are awesome, but they work differently!
