The brain uses a special tool to remember faces. Imagine you have a box where you store pictures of people's faces. Every time you meet someone, the brain takes a picture and puts it in the box. When you see that face again, your brain checks the box, if it matches one of the pictures, you know who it is! This special box is called the face memory system, and it helps you remember people even after a long time.
