How Does Storytime: I worked at a Renaissance Festival Work?

I worked at a Renaissance Festival, which is like a big party where people dress up and pretend to be from long ago, kind of like playing dress-up but with more swords and cookies.

At the festival, there are lots of different activities. Some people run games, some sell food, and others tell stories or play music. I worked at a storytime, which is like when your teacher reads you a book in class, but instead of being in a classroom, we were outside with other kids and grown-ups who love stories.

I helped tell the story, and sometimes I acted out parts of it. It was like being in a play, but we didn’t need a stage, just a big space where everyone could gather and imagine together. We used real props, like cloaks and hats, to make it feel more like being in the past.

It felt like playing pretend with a whole bunch of friends, except instead of just me and my brother, there were hundreds of people laughing and having fun!
