Solutions and suspensions are just different ways that things can mix together, like how your toys can be arranged on your shelf or scattered on the floor.
Solutions are like when you dissolve sugar in water. The sugar becomes invisible in the water, kind of like when your favorite toy disappears into a big pile of blocks. You can’t see the sugar anymore, but it's still there, and if you let the water sit, the sugar might come back out.
Suspensions, on the other hand, are more like when you shake up a jar full of sand and water. The sand stays visible in the water, kind of like how your toys stay separate when they’re scattered around. If you stop shaking it, the sand will eventually settle at the bottom, just like how your toys end up on the floor after you play.
How They Feel
When you drink a solution, like lemonade, it feels smooth and even, no chunks or surprises in your mouth. But if you try to drink a suspension, like some kinds of juice with pulp, you might get bits of fruit in every sip, just like finding a toy under your bed when you're looking for your shoes!
