Roman influence on the modern world is like having a super strong friend who helped build your house and taught you how to play games that are still fun today.
The Romans were like ancient superheroes, they built roads, cities, and even had an awesome system for sending messages across their empire. Today, we can see their work everywhere! Roads in many countries were inspired by Roman roads, which were straight and strong, just like the ones you walk on to get to school.
Like a Big Puzzle
The Romans also created something called Latin, which is like the parent language of many languages today. English, French, Spanish, they all have bits of Latin in them! It's like how your favorite puzzle pieces fit together to make a cool picture.
They even had a way of writing numbers, kind of like how you count on your fingers. That system became what we use now, the number system from 1 to 10. So, when you write your name or count how many toys you have, you're using Roman ideas!
The Romans weren’t just builders and thinkers, they were also great at making rules, which is something we still do today in schools and governments!
