Rainbows and tangled headphones both happen because of how light or strings move around in different ways, just like when you play with toys or tie your shoes!
How Rainbows Happen
When sunlight hits a water droplet, it slows down and bends, kind of like when you walk into a pool, you slow down too! This bending is called refraction. Then the light bounces around inside the droplet and comes out again, this time in different colors, just like how a prism splits white light into a rainbow!
Why Headphones Get Tangled
Headphones have strings that twist when you move them, it's like when your shoelaces get all twisted up after running. Each time you bend or fold the cord, the strings cross over each other and make knots. The more you use them, the more tangled they become!
So, both rainbows and headphones are just fun things that happen because of how light and strings move, no magic needed!
