The debt snowball is like rolling a tiny ball that gets bigger and faster as it goes, helping you knock out debts one by one.
Imagine you have three toy blocks stacked on top of each other: the smallest one on top, then a medium one, then a big one. The debt snowball method says to start by knocking down the smallest block first. That feels great because it’s quick and easy, like finishing your veggies before dessert.
Once that little block is gone, you take its place and roll it onto the next block, now the medium one. It gets a bit harder, but you’re still making progress, just like cleaning up your room one corner at a time.
Then, when the medium block is gone, you roll the snowball (which is now bigger) onto the big block. That last one might take more effort, but by then, you’ve already knocked out two smaller ones, it feels like climbing a mountain after taking a few easy steps!
It’s all about feeling accomplished early on so you can keep going with more energy and confidence!
