Our immune system is like a team of clever detectives who find and stop intruders in our body.
Imagine your body is like a house, and you're inside it. Sometimes, tiny invaders, like germs, sneak in through your nose or mouth, trying to make you sick. That’s when the immune system jumps into action!
The Detectives on Duty
Your immune system has special soldiers called white blood cells who are trained to find these germs.
- Some of them act like sniffers, checking out every corner of your body for signs of trouble.
- Others are like fighters, ready to attack when they spot a germ.
The Battle Begins
When the white blood cells find a germ, they start a battle. They surround the germ and push back until the germ is too weak to cause any more harm, or it gets completely kicked out of your body!
After the battle, your immune system remembers the germ so it can beat it faster next time, just like how you get better at playing a game after you’ve played it many times!
