Imagine you and your friends are deciding whether to have pizza or salad for lunch. A poll is like asking everyone which they want, and then counting how many pick each option. That’s what happened with this new poll, it asked a lot of people what they think about the economy, and most said they're worried about it.

The poll works by asking people questions, just like your teacher might ask you, “Do you think there will be more rain next week?” In this case, the question was something like, “Are you worried about how the country is doing economically?”

They asked a lot of people, maybe hundreds or even thousands, and then counted how many said “yes” or “no.” It's like having a big counting game with real people instead of just your friends.

Now that we know most people are worried, it’s like the whole class is holding up red cards (for worry) instead of green ones (for being happy). That means leaders and grown-ups might need to pay more attention to fixing things so everyone can feel better about the economy again.
