How it works
What happens in the Earth
Deep down in the Earth, where it's super hot and under a lot of pressure, think of it like being squished by a giant hug from all sides, the graphite gets squeezed until it turns into diamonds. This is how real diamonds are made inside our planet.
Making your own diamonds
In a science experiment, you can do something similar! You take some graphite (like pencil lead) and put it in a special machine that presses it really hard and heats it up. After a while, you get a tiny diamond, just like the ones found deep in the Earth!
It's not magic; it’s science at work, turning one thing into something beautiful and tough!
