Layering is when you stack things on top of each other to make something bigger or more interesting.
Imagine you're building a tower out of blocks. You start with one block at the bottom, then put another on top of it, and keep going until your tower is as tall as you want. That’s layering, adding one thing after another in layers.
Like Putting On Clothes
Think about how you get dressed in the morning. First, you wear socks, then shoes, maybe a shirt, and finally a jacket. Each piece of clothing is a layer that helps you stay warm or look nice. You can take them off one by one, just like taking blocks out of your tower.
Like Making a Sandwich
Or think about making a sandwich. You start with bread, then add cheese, some lettuce, and maybe some peanut butter. Each ingredient is a layer, and together they make something delicious. If you want, you can add more layers, like extra cheese or another slice of bread.
Layering helps us build things up, step by step, just like stacking blocks or making a sandwich!
