When your body sees bacteria, it starts a battle to keep you healthy.
Imagine you're playing hide-and-seek in your house. The bacteria are like sneaky players hiding behind the furniture. Your immune system is like your super-smart friend who helps you find them, they shout out clues and grab them when they’re found.
How the Battle Starts
When bacteria get into your body, like through a cut or a sniffle, they're like tiny invaders. Your white blood cells, which are like brave soldiers, rush to fight them off. Some soldiers try to eat the bacteria, it's like giving them a big snack and making them sleepy.
The Big Finish
If the battle gets intense, your body might send more help, sometimes you feel like you're having a fever because your body is working really hard. It’s like when you run around a lot and then get all sweaty and hot.
Eventually, if the soldiers win, the bacteria are gone, and you’re back to playing happily ever after!
