I was called crazy for going to Baghdad, Iraq, because people thought it was a very dangerous place, like playing a game where the rules are not fair.
Imagine you're at school and everyone is sitting quietly in class, but you suddenly decide to run outside into the middle of a thunderstorm. That's what it felt like when I went to Baghdad, most people were staying safe, but I chose to go somewhere that was loud, busy, and sometimes even scary.
Why Was Baghdad So Scary?
Baghdad is a big city in Iraq, and during the time I was there, there were a lot of people fighting nearby. It was like having a loud argument between friends next door, except it wasn't just words; sometimes things got broken or even exploded!
People who stayed back thought I was being silly, like when you tell your friend you're going to touch a hot stove, and they laugh because they know it will hurt.
But I didn’t mind being called crazy, I was happy to be part of the adventure!
