The History Part
Long ago, in ancient Greece, people had a special event called the Olympics too. It was like a big competition where runners, wrestlers, and other athletes would challenge each other. They did this every four years, just like how your school has sports day once a year.
Then, many years later, people decided to bring those old games back, but this time on a much bigger scale! Now, countries all around the world send their best athletes to compete in lots of different events, from swimming and running to gymnastics and even archery!
The National Geographic Part
National Geographic is like a super cool magazine that shows you amazing pictures and stories about places and people far away. When they write about the Olympics, it’s like giving you a front-row seat to all the excitement, with photos, videos, and interesting facts that make everything come alive!
