Like a Game of Passing the Ball
Think about playing a game where you pass a ball to your friend, and then they pass it to someone else. That’s kind of how history works. A long time ago, people started living in groups, like families or tribes, these were the first civilizations. They made tools, built houses, and sometimes even fought with each other.
Then came bigger groups, cities! People learned how to write, so they could remember what happened. That’s when history really started getting exciting, because now stories could travel far and wide.
A Big Family Tree
History is also like a big family tree. Every person who lived before us is like a branch or a leaf on that tree. Some families stayed in the same place for hundreds of years, that’s culture. Others moved to new places, bringing their food, music, and languages with them, that’s how we got all different kinds of people around the world today.
It's one big, never-ending game of passing the ball, and we're still playing! Imagine the whole world is like one big storybook, history is just that story being written by everyone who has ever lived.
