How Does Hatshepsut | Egypt's Forgotten Female Pharaoh | History Rewind Work?

Hatshepsut was a pharaoh who ruled Egypt like a super clever queen, but people forgot about her because she was a woman in a man’s world.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, say, a big red car. You drive it around the block, and everyone cheers for you. But then someone says, "That's not how it works, only boys can play with cars!" That’s kind of what happened to Hatshepsut. She was really good at ruling Egypt, but when she died, people didn’t want to remember her as a pharaoh, they wanted to think of her as a queen instead.

How Hatshepsut Made History

Hatshepsut built a special temple called Deir el-Bahri, which looked like a giant rock that came out of the desert. It was like building the coolest treehouse ever, only bigger! She also sent explorers to faraway lands to bring back treasures, like incense and gold.

She ruled for almost 20 years, and even had her name carved into big stone walls all over Egypt. But after she died, people tried to erase her from history, they chipped away at the carvings of her name in the temples. That’s why we call her "the forgotten pharaoh", because she was amazing, but no one remembered her for a long time.
