A computer screen is like a giant window that shows you pictures and videos.
Think of your favorite cartoon. How does it get onto that glassy rectangle? For a long time, we used CRT monitors. Imagine a heavy glass box with a big, round back, like a deep bowl. Then came LED monitors. This is just a better way to light up those LCD blinds. Instead of a long tube light behind the screen, we use tiny LED lights. These are like the small, bright bulbs in your nightlight or TV remote. They use less power and make the colors pop more, like turning up the brightness on a flashlight. So, CRT is the heavy bowl, LCD is the twisty liquid blinds, and LED is the bright, efficient bulbs behind them.
