Gravity is like an invisible string that pulls things together. On Earth, it makes you stay on the ground and apples fall from trees. In space, gravity still works, it’s what keeps astronauts in orbit around Earth or floating in space if they’re not holding onto something.
Examples
- A ball rolls off a table and falls to the floor because of gravity.
- An astronaut floats in space because there's less gravity pulling them down.
- You can’t jump as high on the Moon because it has less gravity than Earth.
