Electrical wires are like roads for electricity, helping it travel from one place to another.
Imagine you're playing with a toy car on a track. The track is like an electrical wire, and the car is like the electricity moving along it. When you push the car, it goes, just like when we turn on a light switch, electricity starts flowing through the wires to make the bulb shine.
How Electricity Travels
Inside a wire, there are tiny particles called electrons. These electrons move from one end of the wire to the other when you give them a push, this is what happens when you turn on your light switch. The movement of these electrons is like a long line of people passing a ball down a hallway: once someone starts moving, everyone follows.
Why Wires Are Important
If we didn’t have wires, electricity would have no path to follow, it would be like trying to run through a maze with no walls! Wires keep the electricity focused and help it reach exactly where it needs to go, whether that's your TV, phone, or even your favorite toy.
