What Makes Rain Different?
Imagine you're pouring water from a bucket into a glass. The way the water flows depends on how full the bucket is and how fast you pour it.
- If you pour slowly, the water comes out in small drops, like drizzle.
- If you tip the bucket just right, bigger drops fall, that’s regular rain.
- If you dump the whole bucket at once, big, heavy drops come falling down, this is heavy rain or even thunderstorm rain.
Why Rain Feels Different
Sometimes it feels like the sky is shaking and sending water in a wild rush, that's downpour. It’s like when you turn on the shower at full blast!
Other times, the rain falls so fine and soft, it’s like mist, this is called fine rain or sprinkle.
Each kind of rain has its own character, just like different types of playtime, some are gentle, others are exciting! Rain comes in different flavors, just like ice cream, some are light and sweet, others are heavy and strong.
Examples
- A child asks why some days it rains gently, while other days it pours like a waterfall.
- Someone wonders why some rain feels warm and others feel cold.
