Democracy can help make a country’s economy grow by letting people have more say in how things are run.
Imagine you and your friends are running a lemonade stand. If everyone gets to vote on what flavor of lemonade to sell, or how much to charge, it might be easier to agree on the best plan, and that could mean selling more cups!
Democracy is like having a big group of friends where everyone can speak up and decide together. In a country, people vote for leaders who make rules about money, jobs, and schools.
In some countries, only a few people get to choose what happens. But in democratic countries, more people can share their ideas, which might lead to better choices, like building new roads or starting more businesses.
Sometimes, when there are elections, people work harder to make the country better so they can win votes. That extra effort can help the economy grow, just like you and your friends might work extra hard at the lemonade stand to sell even more cups!
