How Does Cults vs Religions: NOT The Same Thing Work?

Cults and religions are both about believing in something, but cults feel more like a special group that’s just starting out, while religions are like big, famous families with lots of traditions.

Imagine you're playing with your toys. A religion is like having a whole toy box full of different games, everyone knows the rules, and they’ve been playing for years. People pass down the game from parent to child, and there's even a special place where they all meet up every week.

A cult, on the other hand, is more like that one new game you just got from your cousin, it’s fun, but not everyone knows how to play yet. The rules are still being made, and sometimes people get really excited about it, so much that they might even stop playing with their old toys!

Sometimes, a cult can grow up to become a religion, just like how your favorite new game could someday be the most popular one in the whole toy box!
