Cranial Cervical Instability (CCI) is when your head and neck don’t move smoothly together like they should.

Imagine you're wearing a backpack that's too heavy, it wobbles around as you walk. That’s kind of what happens with CCI. Your skull and the top part of your spine are supposed to work like a team, but when there's instability, they don’t move in harmony anymore.

Like a Wobbling Top

Think of your head as a spinning top. If the base isn't stable, the top wobbles. In CCI, the connection between your head and neck is loose or stretched out, like if you tied a rubber band around the bottom of the top instead of using a steady base.

This wobbling can make your head feel like it's moving on its own, even when you're standing still. It might cause headaches, dizziness, or even trouble focusing, kind of like trying to read in a room that’s shaking!
