The Key Activities part of the Business Model Canvas shows what your business needs to do every day to make its plan work.
Imagine you're running a lemonade stand. To sell lemonade, you need to squeeze lemons, mix them with sugar and water, pour it into cups, and hand it to customers. Those are your key activities, the things you have to do each day so people buy your lemonade.
Like a Recipe for Success
Think of Key Activities like a recipe. Just as you need certain ingredients (like lemons and sugar) to make lemonade, you need certain actions or tasks to run your business. If you skip squeezing the lemons, your lemonade won’t taste good, just like if a company skips important steps, it might not work well.
For example, a bakery’s key activities could be kneading dough, baking bread, and serving customers. Without those steps, no fresh bread for everyone!
The More You Do, the Better It Gets
The more you practice your key activities, like squeezing lemons or kneading dough, the better you get at it. That means your lemonade stand (or bakery) will run smoother and faster over time, just like how a kid gets better at tying shoes with practice.
So Key Activities are like the daily chores that keep your business running, they might seem simple, but they're super important!
