How Does Black Hole Explosion Likely in the Next 10 Years Work?

A black hole might explode soon because something very heavy is falling into it, and that makes it grow angry.

Imagine you have a super strong vacuum cleaner in your kitchen. It's so powerful, it can suck up everything around it, even the biggest messes. Now imagine a giant space rock, like the size of a mountain, crashes into the vacuum cleaner while it’s running. That would make the vacuum cleaner very angry, and maybe cause it to blow up!

That’s what might happen with a black hole. A star is falling into it, like that space rock crashing into our vacuum cleaner, and that makes the black hole very busy and powerful.

How It Might Blow Up

When the star hits the black hole, they both start spinning super fast, kind of like when you spin around really quickly and then stop suddenly. This spinning causes energy waves to ripple out from the black hole, like shockwaves from a big explosion.

These energy waves might be so strong that we can see them from Earth, like a super bright flash in the sky, similar to fireworks on the Fourth of July!

So, maybe soon, we’ll get to watch a black hole go boom! 🎉
