How Does Artemis II Explained - Day by Day Work?

Artemis II is like going on a fun space road trip that takes about 10 days to complete.

Imagine you're in a really cool car, this car is called a spaceship, and it's taking you and your friends to visit the Moon. The journey has different parts, just like how your road trip has stops and starts.

Day by Day Adventure

On Day 1, you all get into the spaceship, and it takes off from Earth, kind of like when you push a toy car down a ramp, whoosh!

From Day 2 to Day 8, you're traveling through space, just like how you ride in the backseat of your family's car on a long trip. You might float around, eat snacks, and maybe even do some fun experiments.

On Day 9, you arrive at the Moon, it’s like arriving at a new playground. You step out of the spaceship and take a little walk on the Moon's surface.

On Day 10, you say goodbye to the Moon and head back home, just like when your road trip ends and you all get back in the car for the drive home.
