How Does Ancient Rome and the American Revolution Work?

Ancient Rome and the American Revolution are both stories about people who wanted to be free, just like when you want to choose your own toy instead of getting whatever your brother picks.

Ancient Rome started as a small city, like a group of kids playing together. Over time, it grew into a huge empire, like when your little brother starts taking over the entire playground. At first, people in Rome were ruled by kings, but later they got to vote for leaders, just like how you might pick someone to be the leader of your game.

The American Revolution was about people who wanted to be their own boss, like if you wanted to start a new club instead of joining the one everyone else is in. The Americans didn’t want to be controlled by a faraway king anymore, so they fought for freedom and created their own country.

In both stories, people stood up for what they believed in, just like when you raise your hand to say something important in class, only these were big, exciting moments that changed the world!
