"Your brain is tired because it’s trying to listen to too many things at once."
Imagine you're playing a game where you have to listen for your favorite song in a room full of people talking, singing, and clapping all together. That's what happens when there's noise everywhere, like in a busy park or a loud classroom.
Your brain is like a detective trying to find that one song among all the other sounds. When it’s too hard to hear your favorite song because everything else is so loud, your brain gets tired and frustrated. This is why you might feel grumpy, sleepy, or even have headaches, because your brain is working really hard just to understand what's going on around you.
How the noise feels inside your head
Think of your ears as little antennas that catch sound waves from everything around you. When there are too many sounds at once, like a radio, music, and people laughing all together, those tiny antennas get confused. Your brain has to work extra hard to sort out what's important, like the teacher’s voice, from the background noise.
Sometimes it feels like your head is full of confetti, all mixed up and making a lot of noise! That’s why you might feel like saying, “All this noise is KILLING me!”
