How Does a Virus Spread Through a Population?

A virus is like a sneaky guest that wants to visit more people in your house.

Imagine you're playing with your friends in the park. One of them has a virus, which is like a tiny, invisible bug that can make them feel sick. When they cough or sneeze, they send out little bits of this bug into the air, it's like when you blow bubbles and they float around.

If another friend is close by and inhales those tiny bugs, the virus finds its way into their body and starts to multiply there, just like how a small seed can grow into a big tree. Now that friend might start coughing or sneezing too, and the bug continues to spread!

Sometimes the virus can even travel on things like toys or doorknobs. If you touch something that has bugs on it and then touch your face, the virus gets in through your nose or mouth.

As more people catch the virus, they become sneaky guests too, and before long, almost everyone is coughing and sneezing like a whole party!
