How Does a Laser Work?

A laser is like a magical flashlight that sends out light in one direction, making it super bright and focused. It works by using special materials inside a tube to make the light bounce back and forth until it becomes powerful enough to come out as a single, straight beam.

Inside the laser, there are tiny particles called atoms that get excited when energy is added to them. When they relax, they send out light waves, and those waves all line up together, like soldiers marching in step. This makes the light really strong and clear.
