How Does a Computer Process Information So Fast?

Computers are like super-fast robots that use tiny switches to think. When you press a key, it sends messages through these switches, called transistors, that turn on and off really fast. This lets your computer do lots of things at once, like playing games or opening apps in no time!

Inside the computer is something called a central processing unit, or CPU for short. It’s like the brain of the computer. Every time you click a button, the CPU gets to work and turns on and off those tiny switches really fast, millions of times per second! That's how your computer can do so many things at once.
