How do you identify slope changes?

Slope changes are like when your stairs get steeper or flatter, you can feel it as you walk up or down.

Imagine you're walking on a path that's smooth and easy to climb, but then suddenly it gets really steep. That’s a slope change, it means the hill is getting taller faster than before. Or maybe after that steep part, the path becomes flat again, that’s another kind of slope change.

How You Can Tell

If you're walking on a path and you notice that each step takes more effort to climb, or your legs feel like they’re working harder, that means the slope is increasing. Like when you walk up a slide instead of just climbing it, it feels tougher!

On the other hand, if the steps start feeling easier, like walking on flat ground again, that means the slope is decreasing. It's like going from a steep hill to a gentle slope or even a plain.

You can also use a toy car or a ball to help you see slope changes, if it rolls faster, the slope got steeper! If it slows down, the slope got flatter. Slope changes are like when your stairs get steeper or flatter, you can feel it as you walk up or down.
