We use special helpers called body parts and senses to know what time it is without looking at a clock.
Like a Magic Body Clock
Our bodies have their own kind of magic clock, inside us! When we are sleepy, our body tells us it’s time to rest. When we feel awake and ready to play or learn, our body says, “Time to be active!” This magic clock is called the circadian rhythm, and it helps us know if it's morning, afternoon, night, or bedtime, even without seeing a real clock.
The Sun Says It All
The sun also helps us tell time. When the sun is up high in the sky, we know it’s daytime. When the sun goes down and the sky turns dark, that means it’s nighttime. Some people use the position of the sun to guess what time it is, like a giant clock outside our window!
Our body and the sun work together as magical helpers so we can know the time even if there's no clock around!
Examples

- Your mom knows it's dinner time because she hears the school bell from the street.
- You know it's bedtime when it gets dark outside.
