How It Feels Your Finger
The screen has tiny dots (called sensors) all over it. When you press down with your finger, it changes the way the electricity flows across those dots. The screen reads this change and figures out where your finger is.
What Happens After That
Once the screen knows where your finger is, it tells the phone’s brain what to do, like opening an app or typing a message.
Examples
- When you draw your finger across the screen, it leaves invisible marks that the phone can see.
- Pressing two fingers at once lets the phone know you want to zoom in.
